The Component Connection Analysis Plug-in thoroughly examines all pin connections of a selected component, including associated net names and lengths. This provides a clear and detailed overview of the component’s electrical connectivity.
Additionally, the plug-in allows you to verify the presence of specific component types within each net – a particularly valuable feature from an EMC perspective. For example, you can check whether a capacitor is placed near a connector. The results list will then display the capacitor’s name and its distance from the connector.
Each net can be visualized in the main window with a simple double-click. Furthermore, results can be printed or exported as Excel or text files for documentation or further analysis.
